Das perfekte Zusammenspiel: Colin Vallons neues Trioalbum
Im Laufe ihrer Karriere haben Colin Vallon und seine Band einen ganz eigenen Platz in der Riege der Pianotrios gefunden. Das Besondere an ihrer Musik ist ihre stilistische Vielfalt ausgehend vom modernen Jazz.Auch 2017 machen sie genau da weiter: »Danse« heißt das neue Album des Schweizer Pianisten Vallon und seiner Mitstreiter, dem Bassisten Patrice Moret und dem Schlagzeuger Julian Sartorius. Es ist bereits das vierte Werk Vallons beim Münchner Label ECM, und nach »Le Vennt« von 2014 das zweite Album in dieser Konstellation.
Insgesamt elf Songs hat das Trio für »Danse« aufgenommen – wieder einmal eine bunte Mischung, die ihren Fokus weniger auf virtuose Soli legen als auf das perfekte Zusammenspiel, das ausgefeilte und dynamische Klanglandschaften und große Melodien hervorbringt.
Colin Vallon gehört zu den aktuell erfolgreichsten Jazzern der Schweiz – absolut zu Recht. Sein neues Trioalbum »Danse« wird diesen Status weiter ausbauen.
