Bei dieser Weltersteinspielung waren neben den fünf Solisten über 100 Sänger und 113 Musiker beteiligt – ein selten großer Aufwand, der sich gelohnt hat!

Stereo 04/08: »Das Ergebnis dieser Mammutbesetzung ist frappierend: Bei aller Detailschärfe, auf die McCresh unüberhörbar hohen Wert legt, wirken die Bewegungen hier zwar etwas schwerfälliger, ist der Gesamtklang wattiger, sind die Tempi moderater. Aber durch das größere Volumen steigert sich auch die Erhabenheit der großen Chorsätze ins Grandiose, was dieser Musik unerhört gut steht. Selten hat der dem Duett von Adam und Eva im dritten Teil untermischte Lobgesang des Chors so viel Geheimnis und Größe ausgestrahlt, selten waren dei Fugen so überwältigend und doch so deutlich ausformuliert zu hören.«- Tracklisting
