Unter Anleitung der Expeditionsleiterin Arianne besucht eine Gruppe von vier Geologen die vergessene Bergarbeitersiedlung Shookum Hills, Kentucky, die vor Jahrzehnten nach einem mysteriösen Brand in der Kohlemine verlassen wurde.
