Das Hard-Bop-Album »The Fox« von Harold Land wurde ursprünglich 1960 veröffentlicht und 1969 von Contemporary Records neu aufgelegt. In der Besetzung Harold Land (Tenorsaxophon), Dupree Bolton (Trompete), Elmo Hope (Klavier), Herbie Lewis (Bass), Frank Butler (Schlagzeug) wurde es von David Axelrod produziert.

Diese Neuauflage, die im Rahmen der Acoustic Sounds Series erscheint, wurde von Bernie Grundman von den analogen Originalbändern gemastert und bei QRP auf 180-Gramm-Vinyl gepresst und in einem Tip-On-Jacket präsentiert.
