Extrem reichhaltige Fundgrube

Mit dieser äusserst umfangreichen Sinatra-Box liegt ein nicht zu 100 % überzeugendes Produkt vor. Franks Aufnahmen mit Harry James und Tommy Dorsey sind komplett enthalten, seine Aufnahmen für Columbia zu ca. 3/4, und die Capitol-Zeit ist auch nur FAST vollständig abgedeckt. So fehlt z. B. das Album "Sinatra´s Swingin´Session" sowie einige wenige Single-Tracks. Aus den V-Discs und Soundtracks gibt es eine große Auswahl, komplett sind aber auch diese nicht enthalten. Wenn man also, wie ich, auf eine Gesamtausgabe dieser Jahre gehofft hatte, wird man enttäuscht sein. mann müsste allerdings einige hundert Euro anlegen, um sich diverse Einzelboxen mit echten Gesamtausgaben zuzulegen. Das Ganze ist ein wenig rätselhaft, zumal auf den CDs noch reichlich Platz für die fehlenden Stücke gewesen wäre. Die Aufmachung ist bescheiden (46 mal das gleiche Coverphoto), der Klang überraschend gut. Das Beiheft ist eher sparsam angelegt.
