The Five Satins wurden zur Blütezeit des Doo Wop in der Mitte der 50er Jahre bekannt und landeten mit »In The Still Of The Night« einen riesigen Hit, der über Jahrzehnte hinweg zu einem der meistgespielten Oldies im US-Radio wurde. Zunächst als »The Scarlets« bekannt, nahmen sie später unter dem Namen The Five Satins bei Labels wie Red Robin, Ember, MGM/Cub und weiteren auf. Diese 2-CD-Collection enthält mit 56 Tracks alle ihre Aufnahmen für diese Labels von 1954 bis 1962 und ist damit eine Empfehlung für jeden Doo-Wop-Interessierten.
