Disgrace's baby steps took place when the eighties drew to a close and a metallic storm was brewing over the shores of Turku. After a few teenage attempts at speed metal, the band found their calling in the new form of extreme underground music, death metal. All it took for Disgrace to gain worldwide fame in the global underground tape trading circuit was their demo "Beyond the Immortalized Existence" in early 1990. The infamous US label Seraphic Decay put out Disgrace's debut seven inch "Debts of Gods" the same year, and the earth-shattering debut album "Grey Misery" hit the streets in 1992. The collection "1990" consists of restored copies of not only the debut 7 inch but also the two demos from the same year - "Beyond the Immortalized Existence" and "Inside the Labyrinth of Depression", of which "Beyond."-demo is making its official debut on cd.
