Wahoo is the Berlin-based joint venture of songwriter / producer / singer Georg Levin and house dj / producer / labelowner Steffen "Dixon" Berkhahn.
In 2000, Jazzanova's Alexander Barck brought them together for the production of Georg's first recording When I'm With You which appeared on Dixon's compilation "Off Limits 2". Noticing a special quality in their collaborations after helping each other on several productions for Georg's solo-material (including the hit single (I got) Somebody New) as well as Dixon's remix work, they decided to form a proper production outfit and moved into their studio Wahoolia. In the beginning, Wahoo was solely the duo's imprint for remixes but soon they started to produce own compositions (their smash "Make Em Shake It" being the first to surface in 2004 on Sonar Kollektiv, later re-issued on Defected in 2005). Their album Take It Personal was signed to Fine Records / Sony Music and released with critical acclaim in autumn 2007.
