This CD edition of our highly acclaimed LP box set was newly mastered from digital transfers. It contains more songs, and a rewritten booklet that now includes photos from Kitty's personal scrapbook. Even if she had retired after releasing "It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels" in 1952, she would be remembered today as a trailblazer. Wells never made another record as important as that first one, but rarely did she cut a bad record either."
