Das vorliegende Album, ein wahrer Klassiker der britischen Funk-Bewegung, ist nun erstmalig als CD erhältlich. Ursprünglich erschien "Hi-Tension" 1979 auf Island Records, und bei den beiden Albumtracks "British Hustle" und
"Hi Tension" handelt es sich um echte Club-Klassiker. Das Album wurde von Alex Sadkin und Kofi Ayivor (Osibisa) produziert. Die exklusive Wiederveröffentlichung beinhaltet zusätzlich drei Bonus Tracks. Inkl. Booklet mit Sleeve Notes von Ralph Tee (Jazz FM).

Originally released in 1979 on Island Records, the album features the Top Ten double A side smash hit ‘British Hustle’ / ‘Peace On Earth’ and the Top Twenty hit ‘Hi Tension’, both 7”single versions are included in this package as Bonus Tracks. Both ‘British Hustle’ & ‘Hi Tension’ were club classics of their time and the "Hi Tension” album featured extended versions of both tracks. Hi Tension featured the vocal talents of David Joseph who went on to have solo hit singles in the early 80’s.
