Duke Robillard is all ready a legend. He has been nominated for a Grammy, won four W. C. Handy awards for "Blues Guitarist of the Year", has recorded with the likes of Bob Dylan, and The Blind Boys of Alabama, and last year was the guitarist for Tom Waits high profile and rare tour.
The players on A Swingin' Session, Scott Hamilton, Doug James, Mark Teixera, Sax Gordon, Bruce Katz and Marty Ballou , are all major players in the jazz / blues scene and many are bandleaders themselves.
Duke Robillard founded Roomful of Blues in 1967 and was also a member of the Fabulous Thunderbirds. He still tours constantly and performs up to 250 dates a year.
