As the successor to the Blu-ray Disc, the Ultra HD Blu-ray is an optical data storage device for movies in ultra-high definition format. The eponymous Ultra HD resolution is a maximum of 3840 × 2160 pixels. In contrast to its predecessor, it also supports a higher contrast range, a higher refresh rate and a larger color space. Normal Blu-ray players cannot play the new media. Ultra HD Blu-ray-capable devices are usually backward compatible.

Blu-Ray Disc

The Blu-Ray was developed as a high-definition successor to the DVD and offers a significantly increased data rate and storage capacity compared to its predecessor. Blu-Rays can therefore store movies with significantly better resolution and offer enormously high picture quality on corresponding screens. Blu-Ray players are usually backward compatible with DVDs, so that they can also be played.

Der junge Bankräuber Kid taumelt erschöpft über menschenfeindliches Geröll, mitten im gottverlassenen Glutofen einer Wüste. Alles, was er hat, ist ein verdreckter Anzug, eine Maschinenpistole, ein Koffer voller Geld und eine Kugel, die in seinem Arm steckt. Aufgrund des Blutverlusts bricht er in der sengenden Einöde bewusstlos zusammen, und so findet ihn der ehemalige Aufseher Charles Dump, ein habgieriger, verschlagener Feigling, der seine ganz große Chance wittert. Statt die Kugel zu entfernen, spekuliert er darauf, dass Kid qualvoll an dem Wundbrand krepiert und es entflammt ein mörderisches Katz-und-Maus-Spiel zwischen den beiden Kontrahenten. Doch das Blatt wendet sich zum Schlimmeren, als kurze Zeit später der sadistische Killer Mr. Sunshine auf den Plan tritt, der sich mit Kid zur Geldübergabe verabredet hat. Und Sunshine hat nicht vor, die Beute zu teilen...
