About the film

Boris Karloff spielt in diesem wohl größten aller Horrorfilme das bekannte Leinwandmonster.

Doktor Frankenstein (Colin Clive) fordert das Leben selbst heraus, als er aus Leichenteilen ein menschliches Monstrum (Boris Karloff) konstruiert. Regisseur James Whales Adaption von Mary Shelleys Roman ergänzt sich perfekt mit Karloffs leidenschaftlicher Darstellung eines Wesens auf der verzweifelten Suche nach seiner Identität.
