No threesome worked harder at perfecting their improvisations than did Oscar Peterson, Ray Brown, and Ed Thigpen. In their frequent residencies at the London House over a dozen years, Peterson often called rehearsals to start after the last set. Through these sessions they reached the summit for a jazz trio.
