Olivia Trummer ist ein höchst feinsinniger Mensch, ein großes und selbstbewusstes Mädchen von 26 Jahren, ein Temperamentbündel, das gerne lacht und die Welt mit offenem und klugem Blick betrachtet.
Die in Stuttgart geborene und lebende Pianistin und Komponistin hat mit ihrem nunmehr vierten Album ihren musikalischen Kosmos tiefgreifend erweitert. Die hoch talentierte Musikerin, die sich bereits viele Meriten als klassische Konzertpianistin verdient hat, aber vor allem als Jazzpianistin in den letzten Jahren für Furore sorgte, steuert mit Poesiealbum wohlgemut und optimistisch allen vorgefestigten Meinungen und Erwartungshaltungen entgegen. Die vielseitige Künstlerin erweitert auf den neun Aufnahmen ihr ohnehin weit gefasstes stilistisches Spektrum mit gesungenen Liedern, besser noch, sie konzipiert Musiklandschaften, die sie mit ihrer Stimme und mit ihren Gedanken füllt, mit heiteren bis besinnlichen lebensphilosophischen Reflexionen. So hat man Jazzsongs wahrlich selten, wenn überhaupt gehört.
Nachdem sie schon auf dem Vorgänger Nobody Knows (2010), inspiriert von ihrem Studium an der Manhattan School of Music in New York, erstmals auf einem ihrer Alben gesungen hatte, allerdings vornehmlich englisch, vertraut sie nun auf Poesiealbum ganz ihrer Muttersprache. Frei nach dem Motto, dass Ironie die Poesie des Humors ist, fügen sich ihre feinfühligen Weltbetrachtungen über die Liebe, die Natur und all die kleinen Dinge, die das Leben lebenswert machen und ein Poesiealbum befruchten, in die feinen Verästelungen ihrer weitläufigen Kompositionen.

Olivia Trummer is a highly subtle person, a grown-up and self-confident 26-year old girl, full of temper, who enjoys laughing, and sees the world through open and sage eyes. With her fourth album the pianist and composer from Stuttgart has profoundly enlarged her musical cosmos. This highly talented musician has already earned many merits as a classical pianist, but in the last few years attracted more and more attention as jazz pianist. With Poesiealbum (diary) she goes a way contrary to already made up opinions or expectations. She designs musical landscapes, which she fills with her voice and her thoughts, with cheerful to contemplative philosophical reflexions. One has rarely or never heard jazz songs like this before. On her 2010 album Nobody Knows – inspired by her stay at the Manhattan School of Music in NYC – Olivia started singing, but mainly in English. On Poesiealbum now she relies in her mother tongue German. Freely adapted from the thought that irony is the poetry of humour, all her sensitive observations of love, nature and all the small things that make life worth living and enrich a Poesiealbum (diary) merge with the subtle ramification of her ample compositions.
