This June 18, 1961 session adds tenor saxophonist Booker Ervin, a frequent associate, and guitarist Grant Green. And the result is one of Parlan’s most soulful and successful albums. This Rudy Van Gelder-remastered edition marks the first American release of this album on CD with an additional alternate take.
