Amos Hoffman is a relative newcomer to the jazz scene. A permanent member of the Avishai Cohen group, where he plays guitar and laud. Here Hoffman makes his recording debut as a leader, backed by the awesome rhythm section of Avishai on bass and Jorge Rossy (Mehldau’s drummer). The very talented Duane Eubanks is featured on trumpet. On this recording Hoffman’s personality really emerges, and shows us all the brighter facets of his playing.
