Only recommended to fans - In my experience.
As a deadmau5 fan I bought this as soon as it was announced.
Now that it arrived I can say that I have double feelings.
The music obviously is going to be a 5 star. I'm a biased fan.
To my ears the sound on the record is differently mixed than what I hear on CD or the digital formats I own. I do like how it has been mixed. It feels like there is more dynamic in the tracks. The track 'Bot' really drew my attention because it felt like a new song - even though I know it since its original release.
However there is one issue and that's that there is a little scratch in the record on the 'Strobe' part of the record - my favourite song of his... It pops quite heavily when the needle comes across these points and it makes me rather sad. It had it already when it arrived new. Because of that I cannot really say that the pressing is all that great. If it arrives already broken when it was just released and that for this price...
A last thing to add: you'll need to clean the record when it arrives. There was more paper dust on this record from the sleeves than I've ever encountered on other new records, even second-hand ones.
So... I would only recommend to buy this if you're a fan and want to run the risk. The price of this pressing doesn't seem too justified in the 'new' state that it arrived on my end, unfortunately.
