A Revelation
Thomas Fritzsch and his wonderful colleagues have done it again! The "Mozart & Fiala" CD is quite a fascinating and most enjoyable discovery. The music is altogether charming and attractive as are the performances, particularly the sound of the Schorn-Fiala-Fritzsch gamba and the Späth Tangentenflügel - nicely enhanced by the warm acoustics of the Johann-Georgen-Kirche.
Moreover, the liner notes are impressively informative As someone who has had a scholarly interest in Mozart, I am almost embarrassed to admit how much I learned from them.
