Superb sound!
This LP is INSANE!!! Not only the music is great, but the recording quality is absolutely the best I've ever heard. Clarity, focus, openness, warmth, brilliance, ambience, dynamics: it's all there.
Most people believe that the best era of recording quality is far later, and that the late 50's - early 60's were rudimental... I say it's quite the opposite, and that those years were the best ones: tube technology, no miniaturized electronics, full analog, no hundred tracks mixers, just few microphones and skilled sound engineers. In those days, every 10 recordings you had 1 bad over 9 good ones... Twenty years later the ratio was inverted.
This Analogue Productions reissue is top notch: flat, dead silent, great packaging. Get it if you can!
