For every real Baroque lover a must
Oppella ecclesiastica was printed in 1723 in Augsburg. It is the only surviving music of the composer Josef Antonín Plánický, as far as we know. Maybe someday more music of this composer will be found. I hope so. The spiritual arias on this disk are great. There are seven arias for soprano, three for contralto and two for bass. Accompanied by organ or harpsichord, two violins, cello or viola, and solo violin or oboe. Highpoint of the CD is the last track on the CD: Funebris, with a beautifull sonata at the beginning. Musica Bohemica and soloists: well done!
