Das estnische Vokalensemble Vox Clamantis stellt auf dem neuen Album The Suspended Harp of Babel Chorwerke von Cyrillus Kreek (1889–1962) vor, die durch ihre einnehmende Klanglichkeit faszinieren. Lange ein Geheimtipp geblieben, erklingen diese Vertonungen von Psalmen und Volksliedern des estnischen Komponisten in einer Aufnahme aus der Kirche der Verklärung des Herrn in Tallinn.
Ergänzt werden die Chorwerke mit instrumentalen Fantasien und Zwischenspielen eines Nyckelharpa-/Kantele-Trios unter der Leitung von Marco Ambrosini.
