Musik spielt auf Bali eine wichtige Rolle in der Gesellschaft und im täglichen Leben. Abgesehen davon, dass sie der Kunst dient, wird Musik auch zur Unterstützung religiöser Zeremonien eingesetzt. Für uns als Brüder eines holländischen Vaters und einer balinesischen Mutter war die Musik auch in unserem Leben allgegenwärtig. Wir sind in den Niederlanden aufgewachsen und sind ausgebildete klassische Musiker, aber die balinesische Musik war für uns immer eine große Quelle. Dieses Album spiegelt die gegenseitige Inspiration von zwei verschiedenen Kulturen wider, die sich eigentlich näher sind, als man auf den ersten Blick denken würde.
