Die „Sieben Nocturnes für Klavier“ des höchst erfolgreichen belgischen Komponisten Dirk Brossé entstanden 2011 im Auftrag eines Industriellen zum 50. Geburtstag von dessen Gattin. Zehn Jahre später erblickte die Orchesterfassung das Licht der Welt. Inspiration für die Sieben Nachtstücke waren die Tage der Woche, benannt nach antikem Vorbild: Dies Solis – Sonntag, Dies Lunae – Montag, Dies Martis – Dienstag etc. Neben dem Pianisten Daniel Blumenthal, der die Stücke erstmals aufgenommen hat, ist nun das belgische Kammerorchester Prima La Musica unter Leitung des Komponisten zu hören.
