Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. Von Astor Piazzollas Le Grand Tango, seiner einzigen originalen Komposition für Cello und Klavier, war Friedrich Kleinhapl sofort begeistert. Aus der Idee, südamerikanisches Temperament mit europäischem Tiefgang und einer klassischen Klangvorstellung zu kombinieren, entstand schließlich das CD-Programm Pasión Tango für Cello und Klavier (jpc 6051576). Der nächste Schritt war eine logische Fortsetzung: Tangos erneut mit Cello, aber diesmal mit klassischem Orchester, um so das klangliche und emotionale Potenzial noch tiefer auszuloten – das Ergebnis ist eine Gran Pasión Tango!
