"Mit dieser Einspielung haben die Abeggs ihre Sammlung von Schumann-Trios komplettiert, und an diesem Produkt stimmt einfach alles (...): auf dem Cover erblickt man anstelle der üblichen mehr oder weniger verkrampft gestellten Interpretenfotos eine schöne Schumann-Skizze von Horst Janssen. Das Begleitheft bietet anstelle blumig vager Musikmürchen einen so engagierten wie analytisch präzisen Beitrag, in dem Jan Reichow sich erfolgreich um ein neues Schumann-Bild bemüht. Die Aufnahmetechnik dieser (...) CD (...) liefert ein lockeres, natürliches Klangbild. (...) Das alles hülfe freilich wenig, wenn die Abeggs nicht auch vorzüglich musizierten. (...)
