MinSook McCreary: Kumiho, Kartoniert / Broschiert

Klappentext

A retelling inspired by the legend of Tristan and Iseult, weaving together a rich tapestry of Korean folklore and Arthurian legend.

Fated to the lonely life of a fox spirit, Yi-seul was raised deep in the forest, far from the superstitious village who fear the power which grows within her. Cursed with the stone of the kumiho by her dying mother, Yi-seul's existence hangs in the balance, as she hides in the shadows with her nursemaid.

Until the sea spits Tristan of Cornwall out onto the shore of Joseon, shipwrecked and in search of a cure for his cousin's illness. With only Yi-seul to save him, their lives quickly tangle together, igniting a bond which transcends their two worlds.

But when the threat of war looms, devastating forces threaten to rip the young lovers apart and Yi-seul is forced to embark on a perilous voyage. As dark magic begins to unravel her future with Tristan, Yi-seul must make the decision that haunts every kumiho: love or power?
Charting an immortal kumiho's epic journey from Ganghwa-do to Cornwall, this is a powerful tale of destiny, identity and political intrigue. Perfect for fans of Sue Lynn Tan, Shogun and Princess Mononoke.
