Martin Wimmer, geboren 1928, Architekt, promovierte zum Dr.-Ing.Er war bei der Deutschen Bauakademie als Architekt (Eisenhüttenstadt, Hoyerswerda) und als Theoretiker (industrielles Bauen) tätig. Von 1965 bis 2002 war er Mitglied in der UIA Arbeitsgruppe Sport- und Freizeitbauten. Martin Wimmer hatte Gastprofessuren an verschiedenen Universitäten (u. a.
