A thrilling and romantic YA dystopian novel about two teens on a mission to retrieve a vaccine to save their world from a parasitic fungus, inspired by the 1925 serum run to Nome, Alaska. Perfect for fans of The Last Bookstore on Earth and They Bloom at Night!

June Campbell knows exactly how her life will end. A parasitic fungus known as the Viridian will spread through her respiratory system, slowly seizing control of her mind and body. But every day until it fully claims her, it'll make her a little bit stronger, faster, sharper. She's already the best supply runner in Nome, Alaska---at least after her sister, who is now struggling with the late-stage effects of Viridian exposure.

But when June discovers that the scientists of Nome are planning to outfit her sister for one last---almost certainly deadly---mission, she has no other choice but to plunge into the wild Alaskan tundra to take on the quest herself. Two thousand frozen miles stretch between her and a serum that just might unlock a cure for Viridian. Fighting to survive a terrain littered with dangers, both environmental and human, June must join forces with a boy harboring secrets of his own. As they grow unexpectedly closer, the question remains: Will either of them finish this fateful run alive?
