Biografie
Hans Augusto Rey, geboren 1898 in Hamburg, aufgewachsen in der Nähe vom Hagenbeck-Zoo. 1924 ausgewandert nach Rio de Janeiro, Heirat, seit 1939 in Paris. Dort - zusammen mit seiner Frau Margret - Veröffentlichung und Illustration von Kinderbüchern. Ab 1940 in New York. Der Illustrator verstarb 1977 in Cambridge/Massachusetts.
