Klappentext
Through vibrant illustrations and engaging storytelling, this art-filled children's book details the work of Vincent van Gogh's sister-in-law, Jo van Gogh, who spent her life championing the work of the famous artist.
From golden sunflowers to vibrant wheat fields to starry skies, millions of people around the world know the extraordinary art of Vincent van Gogh. And from his famous correspondence with his brother, Theo, many also know the story of Van Gogh's personal life, including his struggles with depression. What is little known, though, is the story of how one person spent her life championing Van Gogh's artwork. Jo van Gogh was Theo's wife and Vincent's sister-in-law. She channeled her grief at their deaths into a campaign to ensure that Van Gogh's artwork received the attention and recognition it deserved.
Engaging text and joyful artwork bring to life Jo's extraordinary story of how she tirelessly worked to bring Vincent's art to the world, enriching our lives. Back matter provides additional information along with a timeline of events.
