D. Ashford: Blood Genesis, Gebunden

Paradise was perfect... then Lilith developed an opinion.

You know what's worse than discovering free will in a universe built entirely around obedience?

Finding out Heaven thinks it's a defect.

And you know what's worse than that?

Your son becoming the first vampire.

Lilith only wanted one thing: to stop kneeling. Somehow that turns into fallen celestials, corrupted magic, pissed-off gods, and Cain deciding the world would be a lot safer if everyone just did what he said.

Which is awkward... because Lilith has heard that argument before.

She also told Heaven to go fuck itself too.

Now she's stuck with vampires, witches, Fae, ancient powers waking up at the worst possible time, and one cat who appears to outrank everyone despite nobody remembering the promotion.

So, yeah... things got complicated.

Heaven wanted obedience, Lilith gave the world free will.

And...

That went about as well as you'd expect.
