Andrea Müller wuchs als eine Art Nomadenkind in diversen, pittoresken, deutschen Dörfern auf. Ihr Großvater war Chefredakteur einer großen, deutschen Tageszeitung, ihr Vater war ebenfalls im Medienbereich tätig, sie verfasste mit 9 Jahren „Tiergeschichten für die ganze Familie“, verzweifelte im Deutsch-Leistungskurs an „Wallenstein“, während „Tonio Kröger“ ihr bester Freund wurde. Sie studierte an der Alliance Francaise und am „Institut Espagnole“ in Paris und später an der „Deutschen Journalistenschule“ in München. Sie war Redakteurin bei „Max“, „INStyle“ und „Stern“, ehe sie Mutter wurde. Seitdem arbeitetet sie in erster Linie als freie Reporterin/Autorin. Als Journalistin schreibt sie unter anderem für das Zeit-Magazin-Online, Emotion, SPON, Eltern, Barbara und die Brigitte.
