Our CD faithfully recaptures the frenzied atmosphere of a typical London gig, when rock was young and so were the musicians and their cheering fans. This special new edition of The Yardbirds’ debut album has all the R&B classics that the group revitalised and made their own. We have added eight more ‘live’ 1963 recordings from the Crawdaddy Club and a 1967 show in Germany and exclusive new liner notes by Chris Welch, including interviews with Yardbirds’ Jim McCarty, Chris Dreja and manager Giorgio Gomelsky - who set the scene for the Marquee session and describes the various tracks and performances.
