The BBC Collection‹ ist eine umfassende Sammlung der vielen aufgezeichneten Auftritte von Rory Gallagher bei der BBC. Sie enthält achtzehn CDs mit Radiokonzerten und Sessions aus den Jahren 1971 bis 1986, von denen etwa 75 % noch nie offiziell veröffentlicht wurden. Ebenfalls enthalten sind zwei Blu-Ray-Discs mit BBC-Fernsehkonzerten und Studioauftritten aus den Jahren 1973 bis 1984, die alle bisher nicht offiziell veröffentlicht wurden.

Die aus den BBC-Archiven und Rory Gallaghers eigenen Transkriptionen und Off-Air-Kassettenaufnahmen zusammengestellte Box umfasst 16 Jahre seiner Karriere (1971-1986) und enthält Höhepunkte wie das 1977 im Fernsehen und im Radio ausgestrahlte Konzert ›Sight & Sound‹, Rorys Hauptauftritt beim Reading Festival 1980 und das emotionale Konzert ›At Midnight‹ live aus der Ulster Hall in Belfast 1984.

Ein »Best of« aus dieser Sammlung wird auf 2CD und 3LP unter dem Titel »The Best of Rory Gallagher at the BBC« erhältlich sein.
