Die Aufmachung der Box entspricht einem Mini-Replikat des original Hitsville Motown Gebäudes und beinhaltet, über die CD’s hinaus, ein einhundertseitiges Foto-Buch mit einer Einleitung von Smokey Robinson, detaillierten Anmerkungen und vielen raren Fotos.
Darüber hinaus sind zwölf Bonustracks mit in dem Set beinhaltet, dessen Cover-Versionen auf Platz eins charteten, von Martha & The Vandellas »Dancing in the Street« (Nummer 1 für David Bowie und Mick Jagger) bis zu Stevie Wonder’s »Pastime Paradise« (adaptiert von Coolio feat. Super Musik (gut darüber lässt sich streiten), sehr liebevoll gemacht. Top Qualität, was die Cds, die Verpackung, den Klang, das Booklet... angeht. Ich bin rundum begeistert !
Eine volle 5 (5 plus)
Der Klang hat "nur" 4 Sterne bekommen da eine Vinylplatte (45 rpm), eine SACD o.ä. noch mehr bringen kann und ich daher für solche "Sahnestückchen" noch Luft nach oben lassen muss.
