Im Jahre 1994 veröffentlichte Regiesseur Michele Soavi seine Filmfassung des Tiziano Sclavi-Comics »Dellamorte Dellamore«, der auch unter dem Titel »Cemetary Man« bekannt war.
Für den Soundtrack zum Film war Komponist Manuel De Sica verantwortlich, der sich zuvor schon als Soundtrackkomponist und auch als Komponist für Ella Fitzgerald und Tony Bennett einen Namen gemacht hatte.
Der Soundtrack trägt eine klassische italienische Handschrift und reiht sich neben den legendären Namen Ennio Morricone und Claudio Simonetti perfekt ein. Durch seine düsteren atmosphärischen Klangteppiche und Grooves hat De Sica hier einen Soundtrack erschaffen, der wahrscheinlich größer ist als der Film selbst.
