»Sondern wie im Falle Little Richard und der fünf LPs starken Mono Box sind das kompromisslose, erstklassige Rock’n’Roll-Songs. Teilweise in mehreren Versionen, aufgenommen zwischen 1955 und 1964 und aufgefüllt mit erstaunlich wenigem Zweitklassigem. Little Richard beherrscht die Szene komplett mit seinem exaltierten, überdrehten, aber so charakteristischen Gesang.
