Billy Vaughn (1919 – 1991) begann seine musikalische Karriere 1952 als Pianist und Sänger der erfolgreichen amerikanischen Gruppe »The Hilltoppers«.
In den 1950er und 1960er Jahren wurde Billy Vaughn weltweit einer der erfolgreichsten Orchester-Chefs im florierenden Pop-Gewerbe. In den USA gelang ihm zwischen 1954 und 1962 der Eintritt in die Charts mit 26 Titeln, in den UK-Charts fand man nur zwei Titel und in Deutschland war er neunzehn Mal vertreten, davon sogar dreimal mit einer Nummer 1.
In dieser Box präsentieren wir zwanzig Originalalben, die den goldenen Saxofon-Sound von Vaughns Truppe wieder auferstehen lässt. Nahezu alle seine unvergessenen Hits sind hier zu hören.
