Das Bizarro Album war für die Band das erste wirkliche Werk für RCA. Ein Jahr bevor sie beim Label unterschrieben, veröffentlichte das Trio aus der Ukraine "John Peel Sessions", die sie im Jahre 1989 für BBC aufgenommen hatten. Also war das der Nachfolger zu dem Historischen Debüt Album "George Best". Das Album wurde von Chris Allinson produziert, der auch der Kopf des Produktionsteams bei der Kennedy EP war. Ebenfalls nennenswert ist, dass durch die Brassneck EP, eine lange freundschaftliche Beziehung zwischen David Gedge und Steve Albini entstand.
