What is that low rumbling I hear rolling in over the Danish hillsides?? Yup it's Link Wray and he's getting LOUDER!! The undisputed king of the crashing guitar just about manages to sit in the grooves of this CD, which covers a mere 22 years of his amazing career. Never a man to find a song too daunting, he runs the gamut here with tunes from Ray Charles, Mars Bonfire (he wrote "Born To Be Wild"), Bruce Springsteen, Leiber, Stoller and even Bob Dylan getting a look in. Add to this a whole mess of Link's own inimitable repertoire, like "Growlin' Guts", "Genocide" and "The Earth Is Crying" and you get the picture. Do not, under any circumstances, file anywhere near Johnny Mathis.
