When Deep Purple announced their decision to split in 1976, the musicians looked forward to blossoming solo careers. Glenn Hughes had been planning his first solo album long before. The LP evolved back home in the Midlands when Glenn was introduced to the owner of a small local studio, and it took just a fortnight to record - aided by players like Mel Galley and Dave Holland.
It was to be almost a year before the album saw the light of day, first in Germany in July 1977 and the UK a year later. Glenn showcased his incredible vocal range over a more soulful collection of material - and the album received several rave reviews in the music press at the time. The album was first issued by Purple on CD in 1999 but has been out of print for many years. It has now been spruced up, and initial copies of the reissue will be in a digi-pak. The CD contains the unissued single and four bonus tracks selected by Glenn.
