Es ist eine Sensation, die beinahe an die legendäre Cream-Reunion in der Londoner Royal Albert Hall 2005 erinnert: Das Team-Up zwischen ERIC CLAPTON und STEVIE WINWOOD, das im Februar 2009 den Madison Square Garden erschütterte. Vierzig Jahre nach Blind Faith standen zwei der besten Gitarristen also wieder zusammen auf der Bühne und spielten Klassiker, die die Welt bewegten: J. J. Cales „Cocaine“, „After Midnight“, die Blind Faith-Klassiker „Had To Cry Today“ und „Presence Of The Lord“, Winwoods „Low Down“ und eine 16-minütige Version von Hendrix’ „Voodoo Chile“. Begleitet wurden sie von Chris Stainton (Keyboards), Willie Weeks (Bass) und Ian Thomas (Drums), die bereits auf dem Crossroad-Festival 2007 die Backing Band für CLAPTON und WINWOOD abgaben. Das Ganze wurde natürlich mitgeschnitten und erscheint unter dem Titel Eric Clapton & Stevie Winwood Live From Madison Square Garden! Das spektakuläre Konzert erscheint als Doppel-CD und als Doppel-DVD-Set mit zusätzlichem Videomaterial. Und nun ist das gesamte Package auch als Blu-ray erhältlich.
