G. Pohl in Rolling Stone 10/02: "Sängerin Emma Pollock beginnt die Platte mit dem unglaublichen "The Light Be- fore We Land" und könnte nach diesem Stück eigentlich schon aufhören. Aber glücklicherweise tut sie das nicht. Denn auch die restlichen neun Songs sind Geständnisse an die Nacht und das Spiegelbild lakonisch-schwermütiger Gedankengänge. Das emphatische "Childkillers", das ver- träumte "If This Is A Plan" - alles Perlen. Im Klang- zimmer der Delgados kann man sich sehr wohl fühlen."-
