Diese CD-Veröffentlichung wurde zu einem Meilenstein. Sie zeigt, wie ein ur-amerikanisches Genre, Doo-Wop, jener auf der Straße geborene Harmonie-Sound, in anderen Ländern aufblühen kann. In Deutschland waren neben anderen erstklassigen Formationen die Chaperals erfolgreich. Sie gingen sogar in die USA und feierten bei Zusammenkünften der Gesangsgruppen Triumphe. Die Chaperals sind fünf junge Burschen aus Norddeutschland. 1990 brachten sie ihre erste LP heraus, dies hier war 1992 die erste CD. Die Hälfte der 20 Aufnahmen sind ‚A Capella’-Bearbeitungen aus dem Standardrepertoire der Vocal Groups. Die übrigen Aufnahmen sind neben Harmoniesongs in deutscher Sprache einige wenige Originale. Und hier spielt definitiv keine Band! Zu den Titeln gehören ‘Hello Everybody’, ‘Lucky Guy’, ‘Falling Leaves’, ‘That's My Desire’ und ‘Stuck On You’.

Several top-notch groups emerged in Germany, and the Chaperals even went to the US and triumphed there at vocal group conventions. The Chaperals are five young guys from northern Germany.
