February 3rd 1959 was a date that would come to be known as one of the darkest in the history of Rock & Roll. Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper were tragically killed in a fatal air crash on route to Minnesota for the Winter Dance Party tour.
All three of these outstanding artists were in their prime & quickly gathering popularity all over America. Although their careers were to be short lived, their influence on early rock ’n’ roll is almost unmatched.
