Legendary hardcore punk album from 1982, considered the definitive landmark for breaking the NYC hardcore scene. All material on this CD was recorded at 171-A Studios, NYC, during August, September and October 1981, except "Pay To Cum," "I Luv I Jah" and "Jah Calling Dub" recorded live at 171-A on May 16, 1981. Since the original release of this title on cassette format, the Bad Brains have achieved a certain immortality among punk and hardcore rockers that followed them. Their recent disasterous tour for Maverick records in connection with their new 1995 album release, resulted in havoc, destruction and the band once again breaking up. ROIR will heavily promote, market and advertise this CD release which we view as a very strong contender for impressive sales. The original 1982 cassette (ROIR A-1 06) is also available for those remaining cassette-junkies.
