Der aus Atlanta (Giorgia) stammende Musiker Josh Scogin startete seine kleine Band mit dem großen Sound 2013 zusammen mit Nikko Yamada. Er benennt die Zwei-Mann-Formation, die er bescheiden als "ein bisschen Rock, ein bisschen Blues, ein bisschen Hardcore" bezeichnet, in Anlehnung an den alten Camaro seines Vaters.
"Give One Take One" ist das mittlerweile dritte Album des Noise-Rock-Duos. Die Leadsingle "The Knife, The Knife, The Knife" zeigt die Band in Bestform und liefert herrlich knackige, bluesbasierte Riffs.
"Of all the music I've created over the years, this album holds some of my very favorite moments, lyrically, musically, and even mentally; I travel down several roads that are equal parts therapeutic to get off my chest and terrifying to share with the world.
