pleasant surprise !
One of the (many) charms of "small" labels : to unearth and present to the public music long forgotten, unknown yet splendid ! Surprisingly enough, almost half a page is dedicated to the Polish composer Osip Jozef Kozlowski in the 1998 edition of The New Grove Dictionary of Music & Musicians. The output of Kozlovsky's music on cd : next to nothing, exception made for this Requiem Mass for soloists, chorus and orchestra on the Russian Melodiya label... Any other music available as yet ??? All interpreters (soloists, choir, orchestra) are totally unknown to me, but the quality of it all is more than worthwhile, with a pleasuring playing time of almost 80 minutes !
