Stevie Roy Voughon & Double Trouble's Album "Couldn't Stand The Weather" erscheint ietzt endlich als Doppel-CD in einer Legacy Edition zum 20. Todestag von Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Mit "Couldn't Stand The Weather'' ist dem Ausnahmegitarristen 1984 der große kommerzielle Durchbruch gelungen, denn das zweite Album seiner Karriere erreichte Gold und später auch Platin - ein Erfolg, der den Blues Gitarristen nicht nur kommerziell sondern auch künstlerisch zu einer Legende seiner Zeit etablierte.
Disc I beinhaltet dos Originalalbum mit acht Songs, darunter berühmte Bluescover wie das 'Tin Pan Alley (aka Roughest Place In Town)" oder das Cover von Jimi Hendrix' 'Voodoo Chile (Slight Return)".
Zudem auf dieser CD zu hören sind elf Studio Outtake-Bonustracks der Recordingsession zum Album. Davon drei bisher unveröffenllichte Songs (The Sky ls Crying, Boot Hill, Stangs Swang als alternative Version).
# Disc 2 präsentiert ein bisher unveröffentlichtes Konzert von '84 in Monreal, Kanada. Die Band spielte zwei Sets in dieser Nacht und diese CD beinhaltet eine Auswahl der späten Show, bei der Songs vom geade aktuellen Album, sowie vom Debütalbum gespielt wurden.
